The Last 72

It is unavoidable. There are days where you have to go and cover tragedies that have affected people in the area. However, the last three days seemed like a broken record of family’s dealing with death all why asking themselves why did this had to happen. I know its spot news and we have to have it but constantly going to the ends of the state, navigating through the bright lights, while trying not to trip over the yellow tape can wear down even the most seasoned photographer. Then there is the challenge of not upsetting the family even more. Some would rather you not be there while others just want to let out their pent up emotions. Either way you remain respectful, no need to make a bad situation even worse. Just get your pictures and what information you can and get out of there. When its all said and done, doesn’t hurt to say a little prayer for them.

Its been an emotional three days, thankfully the desk is letting me clear out my head today.
