It's All About The "Mon - ay"

It seems that the members at the Phallus Palace are causing quite a stir. The talk of moving forward with an enormous pay hike is not sitting well with the constituents of the Bayou State. As I suggested in a previous post, ask Gov. Wunderkind to stop calling all of the special sessions. Good thing the Ways & Means to Make TV Interesting is keeping a close eye on this.

And since we couldn't get the Live Shot Prohibition Act passed, I wonder how I should vote on this one? Sena-turd please keep me posted on this, did you know?

Senator, your check is in the mail. But I hope you can get by with only two times your current pay. Now if you can only bribe . . .uh . . . convince your colleagues in the upper house to go along with the measure, don't you know?

Sena-Turd and Senator Hollins,

I was disgusted by the lack of spine shown by those in the lower chamber this afternoon! Amazed that they didn't follow the lead of the Upper Chamber and the Honorable Senator Duplessis from The Big Easy.

Please, gentlemen, remember that we no longer have the fine representatives of Big Oil, Big Tobacco, Big Booze, and Big Pharma (aka "the lobbyists") to supply us with those mouth-watering 32-ounce strip steaks and single malt scotch (thanks to Gov. Good Government (the bastard)). So we have to pay for them ourselves...which is do-able if you're making 50k per three months of work.
The so-called "compromise plan" by the House will only give us enough dough to fill our bellys at Sonic Drive In during lunch and On The Border Mexican restaurant for dinner. (Waitress? May we have more chips and salsa over here, please?)
Sad, sad, sad.
I'm tempted to reject the House measure in it's entirety and substitute legislation which would give the 50k to those who are elected in the next go around. Keep these bastards broke and hungry...that'll teach 'em.

Regards,

Senator Drewry
North Rampart District

My check is bouncing more than the NBA's image. This vote should be interesting. I don't think they will get the magic number of 20 since my legislation couldn't get passed. Funny how all of this happens when I'm out of town, did you know?
